Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop

Its colorful, its vibrant and its everything a chill Saturday evening craves for

Cherry And Smile Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop

Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop is very pretty, bright and sweet. It follows the lives of Cherry and Smile, both of whom have their own share teenage troubles and insecurities. While these problems may be small, they affect their day to day lives. Smile is quite ironically insecure about her buck tooth so she wears a mask all the time. Cherry on the other hand, is quite shy and avoids public speaking whenever he can.

The story revolves around these two characters and how they overcome these obstacles, and by the end of it we have a very sweet and pretty story about young love. Plot wise this story may not be much but it is the execution that makes this movie worth a watch. As mentioned repeatedly, the movie is very colorful and vibrant. The animations is almost cartoonlike for the lack of better words, but it works in the favor of the movie. The characters are likeable, the supporting cast while not being much memorable, considering the short run time of the movie, are interesting for the roles they play.

Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop is a short chill comfort movie. A big part of the movie is the Haikus that Cherry writes which makes me wonder how much of it gets lost in translation. The title of the movie itself is derived from a Haiku that he writes. The poems may sound a bit awkward in the movie but I guess that's totally a translation thing. Overall everyone should give this movie a try, it ain't something that keeps you on the edge of your seat but it will surely immerse you in the atmosphere it builds up throughout its runtime.
